FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
People, Places and Things, and a Featured Collection by Lisa Do – August 1-31, 2026
ELK GROVE, June 1, 2026 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present two exhibitions in August: People, Places and Things by our Gallery Artists, and The Bittersweet in Grief by featured artist Lisa Do. The exhibitions open with a First Saturday Public Reception on August 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“People, Places, and Things gives an opportunity for our Gallery Artists to showcase still life, landscapes, figurative work, and three-dimensional objects as we head toward fall. This new collection is in addition to the regular displays by over two dozen local and regional artists who are part of our Center. In the featured gallery we’re excited to present Lisa Do’s The Bittersweet in Grief. In these works she explores how memories alter and reshape the way we experience life and emotions.”
The First Saturday reception is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy refreshments, live music, and an opportunity to meet many of the featured artists exhibiting work at the Center.
