Jim Marxen and Dwight Head – August 2-24, 2025
ELK GROVE, July 1, 2025 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present two featured exhibitions in August with Jim Marxen and Dwight Head. Both shows run August 2-24, with a First Saturday Public Reception on August 2 from 4-7 p.m.
“The Center is pleased to welcome Jim Marxen and Dwight Head for featured exhibitions this month. Marxen’s surreal landscapes are a great pairing with Head’s surreal figurative work. Having space for these shows in our main gallery, in addition to a regular collection of Gallery Artist displays and our gift shop, means that guests have so much new to explore every month. Make plans to join us for First Saturday and see why Elk Grove is the place to be for the visual arts.”

About the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center
Established as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events. The Center presents monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, First Saturday public art receptions, adult workshops in a variety of art mediums, and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts.
The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is located at 9020 Elk Grove Boulevard Suite 101 in Elk Grove. The galleries are open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for First Saturday Public Receptions from 4-7 p.m. We are proud members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Elk Grove Foundation.
