Open Fine Arts – July 5-24, 2025
ELK GROVE, June 1, 2025 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present the 11th Open Fine Arts competition July 5-24, 2025. The exhibition opens with a First Saturday Public Reception and awards presentation on July 5 from 4-7 p.m.
“Our Open Fine Arts competition returns for the eleventh year at the Center and is judged by mixed-media artist Carrie Markel. Artists compete in five categories of water media, oil, acrylic and mixed-media, three-dimensional, and drawings and pastels. This exhibition invites regional and national artists to display elevated museum-quality works in competition by category and for Best of Show.”
The Center will also present the second in our Dale Chilcoat Art Lecture Series on July 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Center. Join us for an afternoon with famed artist Vincent van Gogh. Presented in first person, and in period dress, Van Gogh will discuss his life and answer important questions. Tickets are available at elkgrovefineartscenter.org.

About the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center
Established as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events. The Center presents monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, First Saturday public art receptions, adult workshops in a variety of art mediums, and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts.
The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is located at 9020 Elk Grove Boulevard Suite 101 in Elk Grove. The galleries are open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for First Saturday Public Receptions from 4-7 p.m. We are proud members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Elk Grove Foundation.
