Wide Open Spaces and Anna Gorda – June 7-26, 2025
ELK GROVE, May 1, 2025 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present the Wide Open Spaces and Anna Gorda June 7-26, 2025. The exhibitions open with a First Saturday Public Reception on June 7 from 4-7 p.m. featuring refreshments, an awards presentation, and an artist talk.
“Wide Open Spaces is our annual nature-themed art competition that brings together artists in all mediums to celebrate our human bonds with the planet. The competition is judged this year by artist and instructor Teresa Steinbach-Garcia. In our featured gallery, Anna Gorda shares Anna’s Soul, a collection of figurative and still-life paintings. Gorda is a Ukrainian refugee living and working in California, and is a member of the Hero Art Project from the Brave of Heart Fund.”
The Center will also present a new class by Andrea Morris, Flowers and Glass, on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This workshop explores the art of creating translucent painting and detailed flower and petal work. Guests may register for all available classes online at elkgrovefineartscenter.org.

About the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center
Established as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events. The Center presents monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, First Saturday public art receptions, adult workshops in a variety of art mediums, and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts.
The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is located at 9020 Elk Grove Boulevard Suite 101 in Elk Grove. The galleries are open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for First Saturday Public Receptions from 4-7 p.m. We are proud members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Elk Grove Foundation.
