SUSAN TAIRA WORLDS APART – JANUARY 4-23, 2025
Elk Grove, December 1, 2024 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will present Susan Taira Worlds Apart, January 4-23, 2025. The exhibition includes a First Saturday Public Reception on January 4, 2025 from 4-7PM.
“My work is often inspired by my love of nature and my bicultural background. In my mixed-media and assemblages, I combine images of nature and Japanese culture with found elements such as leaves, stone, bone, shell, and papers. Variety after all, is the spice of life.”
Gallery visitors are encouraged to join us for First Saturday to enjoy light refreshments, live music, and an opportunity to meet the featured artist. The Gallery will also include a selection of work by represented artists and our first Community Art Display of 2025.

About the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center
Established as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is a place for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts through classes and special events. The Center presents monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, First Saturday public art receptions, adult workshops in a variety of art mediums, and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts.
The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is at 9020 Elk Grove Boulevard Suite 101 in Elk Grove and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11AM-5PM, Sundays 11AM-4PM, and First Saturday Public Receptions monthly from 4-7PM. We are proud members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and Old Town Elk Grove Foundation.
