FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EGUSD STUDENTS AND GERALD BARNES – FEBRUARY 4-23, 2023
Elk Grove, January 1, 2023 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center presents A Celebration of Art with EGUSD Students, and Layers of Life with Gerald Barnes on exhibition February 4-23, 2023. The Center will open for a First Saturday Public Reception and Awards Presentation on February 4 from 4-7PM.
A Celebration of Art brings together art students in grades 9-12 from the Elk Grove Unified School District for an open art competition. Work in all mediums will be used to expression emotion, challenge artistic expression, and to surprise us. Sacramento-based artist Marcelle Wiggins serves as awards judge for this exhibition.
In the Foyer Gallery Gerald (Jerry) Barnes brings photographic and mixed-media collage in Layers of Life, a collection that mimics the stages of life we all have gone through (some with ease and others with difficulty).
