About the Class: Join Joy in a wonderful exploration into the style of oriental watercolor painting. You will be painting on traditional rice paper and exploring different stokes of brushwork in a loose and painterly style using the spider stile painting method.

About the Instructor:

Joy’s fine art techniques are from her eastern roots of Chinese paintings on rice paper. Joy’s work blends eastern sensibilities with western energy, mirroring her own life’s direction. Expanding on familiar themes of life, Joy elegantly communicates the beauty of our natural world. Her work may be seen regularly at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center.
