Watercolor Vegetables on Rice Paper with Joy Kuo

About the Workshop: For beginners and Advanced students.

You will learn how to use Watercolor on rice paper using the spider stilepainting method to paint the Chrysanthemum. This technique is totally different than painting with watercolors on watercolor paper.

Materials:

The instructor supplies the rice paper for the class.  If you already have watercolors, you can bring them with you.  If not?  Please feel free use my materials.  See student optional materials list:

Joy’s fine art techniques on the Watercolor on rice paper are from her eastern roots of Chinese paintings on rice paper.  Joy’s work blends eastern sensibilities with western energy, mirroring her own life’s direction.  Traditional roots and a delicate infuse of Joy’s Chinese brush paintings.  Expanding on familiar themes of life, Joy elegantly communicates the beauty of our natural world.
