Intermediate Acrylic with Andrea Morris

Workshop Description:    

Have you been playing around with acrylics for a while and want to take your painting skills to the next level?  This is the class for you.

Andrea will teach you different techniques to get greater results in painting, rocks, mountains, animals, people, cityscapes, ocean scenes, still life, and how to develop your own authentique style to painting your subjects.  Each month we will cover a different subject and learn how to paint with more detail but in a loose style.

Andrea will encourage you to experiment with color and brush work and challenge you to create art that is true to you.

Material List – Students will need to bring the following:

1.  11x 14 canvas
2. Brushes – any range of sizes from small to medium and 1 large brush for acrylic or oil painting (bring what you have)
3. Palette – recommend a staywet palette that has a lid, the sponge and permeable paper this can be purchased from amazon.  This palette will keep your paint from drying out as you paint.
4. Paper towels
5. Pencil and any size drawing pad as this will be used to create your compositions and ideas for your painting.  The size recommended is 9 x 12 or smaller’
6. Wear old painting clothes or bring an apron
