Beginning Acrylic Ocean Sunset with Allyson Ing

Lesson Content:
This is a four-hour beginner friendly acrylic class. In this class, you will learn how to mix colors, use brushes, and combine various techniques to create vivid landscapes!
Materials / supplies:
Instructor will supply paint supplies and canvases.
Students will need to bring their own acrylic or mixed media brushes; one medium filbert brush, one large flat brush, one small flat brush, one angled brush, and one small round brush. Most of these brushes can be found in acrylic/multimedia brush sets online or in stores.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.

About the instructor:
Allyson Ing is a painter and illustrator based in Elk Grove, California. Growing up, she always loved art, learning how to paint using acrylics and oils. She graduated with her BFA in illustration from Pratt Institute in 2025 and has used her studies to deepen her fundamental skills and storytelling in both digital and traditional mediums.
