About the Workshop
Students of all levels will come to this workshop prepared to paint Emerald Plaza subjects. outdoors, or at least sketch outdoors and paint later in the classroom from sketches. Don’t want to paint this shopping center, bring a sketch from life of your favorite subject. David will present a brief lecture followed by a demo. After the demo the class will work outdoors making a design sketch and then paint a half sheet watercolor. David will be available for personal assistance. We will finish up with our paintings in the studio and will assemble for a critique 30 minutes before dismissal. The point of the class is to practice painting fast and loose from life!
Students will bring the watercolor kit they normally use, prepared to paint halfsheet sized paintings. Tables and easels will be provided. If you are new to watercolor you may arrange to a pay a $10 fee for paper and paint and use the instructor’s palettes and brushes.
