Tree of Life Mosaic 2-Day Workshop with Carrie Markel
October 21 and 22, 2023 from 10AM-2:30PM daily at the Center
Workshop Fee: $100
Explore the fun and colorful art of mosaic design. Participants will be creating their own Tree of Life with personal stories and symbols. Known and represented in many cultural myths, the tree of life stands for harmony and balance in nature. Ancient Celts even believed trees were part of their ancestry. The fall has always been a time for family gathering and traditions.
We will be “growing” our own symbolic trees through mosaic design! Learn to cut, adhere, and grout ceramic and glass pieces. You will have the choice of a round or vertical format with which to design your work. Finished mosaic will not exceed 14” in diameter or length. These will certainly add color, whimsey, and character to any interior space!
Feel free to bring your own found treasures, jewelry, and broken dishes to create an art piece that is uniquely about you and/or your family!
Instructor will provide all materials.
Bring an Apron to protect clothing.
