DATES/TIMES: Wednesdays, June 16, 23, and July 7, 2021 (this is a three-day workshop), 5:30PM-9PM each day
What you will learn?
In this three-day workshop students will use hand-building coil and pinching techniques to create a small BUST and then come back on the third day to glaze their creations. All pieces will then be fired by the instructor and be available for pick-up at EGFAC the following week during regular center hours.
Instructor will provide all materials.
About the Instructor
I consider myself a sculptor/ceramic artist. My recent work is more autobiographical in nature, where I use characteristics, symbols, and emotions of the woman/ wife/ mother expressing her role in the world. I feel my experience as a mother of two boys and my years of marriage provides me with lots of material which I draw from to create an expressive piece of art.
I often hear from people “tell me your story of why you created this piece.” Although I enjoy telling them my story, for me ”their” thoughts or interpretations are most important to me!
