The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center presents Judy Thompson-Ng’s JUDY’S BATIKS in the Foyer Gallery June 5-24, 2021.
Judy is a self-taught artist from New York painting in oil and watercolor. She has been a member of art groups in Arizona, Hawaii and California and a juried member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild.
Judy’s unique style of watercolor batik painting illustrates the technique of watercolor painting on rice paper using a hot wax application for masking and texture.
As she moved from state to state capturing their signature characteristics, her pallet colors changed. She conducts Watercolor Batik workshops at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center and works from her home studio.
