This popular competition show features animals of any size, color, or shape. Artists were asked to express themselves in a fun and creative way to show the essence of an animal they find interesting.

About the Judge

Carol Brewer – Carol Brewer opened the Blue Moon Gallery in December 2006-2014 which served local artists in and cities surrounding Sacramento. The gallery represented 36 artists in the East Gallery year round and 12 shows a year in the West Gallery and a sculpture garden and with a ceramic studio called “The Cottage”. In 2015 Carol became the curator of ACAI Gallery and retired in fall of 2020. As the Curator of the ACAI Gallery & Studios, she developed the Third Saturday Art walk, improved quality of the Gallery and booked monthly exhibits such as her signature annual Black & White group show, created sculpture Garden, developed a Gallery Membership Program, and increased exhibiting artists.
For the following years (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021) she was honored to be the Magnum Opus International juried exhibition Chair supporting the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. In the summer of 2018 Carol was elected President of the Northern California Arts, Inc. (NCA) which is located in the Sac Arts in Carmichael. She has worked with many of the NCA artists in the past in both galleries and supported the exhibition of their work. Her meeting and working with such outstanding artists is one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
