Elk Grove, April 1, 2023 – The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center presents our annual Abstractly Speaking art competition, plus the EGFAC Founding Members Exhibition, showing May 6-26, 2023. The Center will open for a First Saturday Public Reception and Awards Presentation on May 6 from 4-7PM.

Abstractly Speaking, abstract art can touch the emotions in a fresh, raw and powerfully direct way.  Art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, forms, colors, and textures. This art competition show is judged by arts educator Dale Chilcoat.

The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center also celebrates our 15th Anniversary in May 2023. We have invited our original nineteen founding members to contribute work for a special exhibition in the Foyer Gallery that commemorates our beginnings as Elk Grove’s premier arts center and gallery.
